Screen Face Cam — Privacy Policy

Screen Face Cam displays a customizable live camera overlay on your Mac. The App is designed for use alongside macOS screen recording and content creation workflows. The App requires camera permission to show a live video preview on your screen.

Camera video is processed locally on your Mac only. Screen Face Cam uses your selected camera to render a live preview in a floating overlay window. We do not record, store, upload, or transmit your camera video or audio.

• Video frames remain on your device during preview
• No cloud storage of camera content
• No transmission of camera content to Spikey Tech Inc. servers

The App does not capture or record your screen. If you use macOS built-in screen recording, that recording is handled entirely by Apple and your chosen recording tools—not by Screen Face Cam.

3.1 Analytics Data (Release Builds)

In release builds of the App, we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve reliability. Analytics collection is disabled in debug builds. We may collect:

• App launch events
• Overlay visibility changes
• Subscription window, purchase, restore, and status events (including product identifiers)
• Snap position and snap toggle interactions
• Free session trial expiration events
• Camera permission result (granted or denied — not video content)
• App version and subscription status (as analytics user properties)

3.2 Anonymous Identifier

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign a pseudonymous user identifier used as an analytics user ID. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID by us. We do not offer user accounts or sign-in with personal credentials in the App.

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the App
• Understand feature usage and subscription flows
• Diagnose issues and enhance user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

The App uses Google Firebase (Analytics and Authentication), which may process device and usage data according to Google's Firebase Privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

• Your name, email address, or phone number through the App
• Microphone audio
• Screen contents or screen recordings
• Contacts, location data, or browsing history
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking for ads

The App does not persist personal user profiles on your device beyond what macOS and Apple provide for App Store subscriptions. Analytics data retained by Google Firebase is subject to Google's retention policies. You may request information about data we control by contacting us below.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise rights relating to data we control, contact us at the email below.

Because subscription billing is handled by Apple, requests related to payment records may need to be directed to Apple as well.

Screen Face Cam is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
